A Shot in the Factory / Laukaus tehtaalla

Erkko Kivikoski 1973 Finland
An elderly man rides his bicycle to his factory in a small town. He enters the office of the manager, pulls out a sawed-off shotgun from under his coat, and kills him. The events that led to this desperate act are then described in a documentary style: the company's decision to impose a lockout, failed negotiations between the workers and management, the dismissal of more than 30 employees, most of whom were unable to find other jobs...

Slogan of the film: "Raju kertomus työn ja pääoman ristiriidasta" ("A harsh story of the conflict between labor and capital").
