Brassed Off

The story is set in a small British town during the major miners' strike of 1984-1985. Inspector Gloria Mullins from the administration arrives to assess the scheduled closure of the mine and the lockout of a thousand miners. However, she has one trait: she adores playing the flugelhorn. Gloria is going to the local community wind band for rehearsal. And she finds the meaning of life and love here...
