Cashiers Rise Up, a documentary by the workers’ party Bağımsızlık Yolu drawing attention to the problems faced by supermarket employees in particular and private-sector workers in general, has been released on YouTube.

Emphasizing the importance of struggle on the side of labor, the documentary examines the campaign launched by Bağımsızlık Yolu after stools were removed from Kiler Market cashiers, drawing attention to the problems workers face and the attitudes of employers.

Highlighting the problems caused by working without union representation or job security and in unhappiness, the documentary became available on Bağımsızlık Yolu’s YouTube channel following screenings in Nicosia, Famagusta, Kyrenia, Akçay and Lefke.
