Dreams and Dust: Why the Labour Movement Must Be as Global as Globalisation / Drømme og støv
I hope that with this book I have shown that transferring resources to global self-defence is absolutely necessary, and that global trade-union federations such as UNI and local unions such as BJMF have already gained valuable practical experience that we can draw on in the work ahead. The global labour movement can create the solutions we need only if we dare to believe in it. We must dare to believe that we can surf the tsunami of globalisation and seriously prioritise the building of a global labour movement. Like the desperately poor workers who created the Danish labour movement, we must dare to set ourselves an ambitious goal for the future and direct our resources firmly towards achieving it. — Jakob Mathiassen
