Edge of the City

A young drifter, Axel, gets a job in the crew of dangerous and corrupt Charlie Malik. He soon experiences the full brutality of a crooked union. When Malik kills another foreman, Tommy Tyler—a Black man and Axel’s friend—Axel and the other workers are so terrified that they refuse to tell the truth to the police or even admit it to themselves.
