Gaijin – Os Caminhos da Liberdade / Gaijin - The Paths to Freedom

Tizuka Yamasaki 1980 Brasil
At the beginning of the 20th century, a group of Japanese people came to Brazil to work on a coffee farm in São Paulo . There, they encountered difficulties adapting, as they were treated with hostility, forced to work almost like slaves , and robbed by the boss. Only a few colonists treated them well, among them Tonho, the farm's accountant.
