Labor conflict and struggle strategies at the Martin yerba mate factory. Rosario, 1935, Prohistoria Ediciones ISHIR CONICET, Rosario, 2025, 118 pp. Élida Sonzogni Prize, 2 This book recovers a significant chapter in the social history of the Rosario labor movement: the strike of the workers at the Martin y Cia. Yerba Mate Mill, which took place between May and June 1935. Through the analysis of trade newspapers, labor and party press, and police documents, the conflict and the various perspectives surrounding it are reconstructed. The strategies employed by the Communist Party to promote the protest are also examined, and a profile of the company and its founder is included. The result is a narrative that combines historical research with workers' collective memory, and which seeks to contribute to the construction of a more complete, pluralistic, and contextualized history of the Argentine labor movement.
