Movimiento obrero en Andalucía. Comisiones Obreras en Sevilla (1977-2008) / The Workers' Movement in Andalusia. Workers' Commissions in Seville (1977-2008)

The evolution of the labor movement has been intrinsic to the history of modern societies, to the point of being considered "the great dialectic of the 20th century." Andalusia has been part of this international dynamic, and in this case, the focus is on Seville, the capital of the region, during the last third of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. During these years, Seville was also a rare example of the parity of the labor movement in both rural and urban areas, specifically in the decade of 1975-1985, thanks to the political and trade union alliance formed by the Communist Party of Spain and the Workers' Commissions Trade Union Confederation. In this sense, it is clear that communism was the main party in the anti-Franco struggle and earned, through hard work, the trade union hegemony it would wield in the underground, alongside the socialist General Union of Workers (UGT), during the Second Restoration of the Monarchy.
