After her marriage falls apart, Josie Aimes returns to her hometown in Northern Minnesota in search of work. She has two children, and to support them, she is forced to take a job at a mine where nearly all the local men, including her father, work. As one of the few women on the job, Josie faces a harsh reality. The men, unwilling to accept competition from women, impose humiliating demands on them. Taking a big risk, Josie decides to go to court to protect herself and her female colleagues. This case eventually becomes the first precedent in the U.S. where a sexual harassment lawsuit was successfully upheld.
