Science fiction invents fascinating futures – but it also shapes the present, not least through technological inspiration and pop-cultural socialization. What we expect and fear from the future is often something we have previously read or seen in science fiction stories. This also applies to the world of work: What technological changes will affect us? What labor disputes lie ahead? And are robots our competitors? The contributors analyze some of these futures of work in selected books, films, and games – and offer insights into something we don't yet know, but can already imagine.
