The Organizer

The story of the workers' struggle in a city in northern Italy for better working conditions, revealed through archival material from the late 19th century. Exhausted by 14-hour workdays and social injustice, the weavers of a factory begin a strike. The problem is that these kind, but illiterate and naïve people do not understand what they are getting into. A teacher, Giuseppe Sinigaglia, sent by revolutionary comrades, volunteers to help them. But the reality is even worse than the grim predictions.
