Warsaw, 1981. The "Solidarity" trade union movement takes a course of confrontation with the authorities. A Catholic priest, Father Alec, connected to the organization, does everything he can to unite its members. Stefan, a secret police agent who hates the anti-communist rebels with all his soul, is given the task of killing the priest... The film is based on the true story of Father Jerzy Popiełuszko.
