We, A History / Nosotros, una historia

This film is about the history of the workers’ movement in Ecuador. The workers themselves recount how the process of organization has been since the late 19th century and the early 20th century. Many of them are survivors of a massacre that took place on November 15, 1922, in the city of Guayaquil, where many workers were killed. But the survivors, among them leaders of that era, provide testimonial accounts that show a historical period of the labor movement that reaches 1980, when one of the stable decades in the last democratic period of Ecuador began. It was also the beginning of the demobilization of those same workers, as a State policy.
