Les syndicats de l'Éducation nationale: Des acteurs en mutation / National Education Unions: Actors in Transition

The education system has historically been one of the most unionized sectors of the French workforce. Yet, the unions within it have undergone significant transformations over the past two decades. However, their very perception has often been limited to teaching staff alone. This raises several questions. What changes have occurred in unionism within the national education system? What are the consequences of the evolution of the school system itself? How can the humanities and social sciences address a sector largely composed of intellectual professions? This book, drawing on diverse sources (archives, publications, interviews, questionnaires), aims to understand these changes since the 2000s. It will highlight the continuities and ruptures that characterize this sector. It will strive to demonstrate that the national education unions represent a sector marked by increasing diversity.
