As purple trains roll through the rapeseed fields of southern Sweden, anger is growing among railway workers. The train company is planning yet another round of cuts — but this time, the staff are ready to stand up for one another. After decades of public procurement, companies have competed fiercely for profitable railway contracts, turning deteriorating working conditions into a hidden competitive advantage. The Victory Train follows train drivers and onboard staff as they organize between shifts and pandemic-era online meetings, building collective strength in the fight for dignity, fairness, and better working conditions. A story of perseverance and solidarity in a time of constant erosion, the film asks a simple but urgent question: How would you and your co-workers support one another in your workplace?
